No. The One is a privately owned and managed community.

Here at The One, we make it easy to find your perfect living space! We offer several layouts for our homes and townhomes in Ann Arbor, including one-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom apartments, and five-bedroom apartments, so you can choose your preferred floor plan. Whether you want to live on your own or with roommates, with all of our available layouts, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for!

If your college student is in search of a part-time job, why not start where they live? At The One, our residents have the opportunity to work for our nationally recognized top 25 student housing company while simultaneously cultivating critical skills and experience sought by employers of today’s graduates. Through our community assistant (CA) program, we deliver top-level service to current and prospective residents while fostering an immersive student-driven community environment that contributes to healthy, happy living through outreach, marketing, and events.

As a CA, residents work alongside fellow residents to promote a safe environment, forge connections, and contribute to our engaging residential community. Residents must be enrolled in a degree program with a minimum of 6 hours of credit; they must have completed at least 1 year at the university; and have a minimum 2.6 cumulative grade point average in order to participate in the CA program. Here at The One, there are several ways to see our community! If you want to get an inside look at our student living community from the comfort of your home, you can do so through a virtual tour. Additionally, we welcome you and your student to schedule an in-person property tour for a first-hand look at our UMich off campus housing community. Our hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

With individual housing contracts, each resident signs their own rental agreement instead of signing a joint contract with other roommates. This means your student is responsible only for submitting their monthly installments. This allows residents to live with roommates without taking on liability or worrying about a roommate submitting their payments on time.

Yes! To be matched with one or more roommates, we ask that you complete a roommate profile during the application process. Once we receive your roommate profile, we will match you with a roommate based on a variety of factors, including your habits, preferences, lifestyle, and other characteristics you have in common. Installment payments include the use of The One’s interior townhome and house furnishings and finishes and access to our wide array of on-site resort-style community amenities! For more information about what is included with your monthly installment payments, contact The One!

Our Ann Arbor homes and townhomes come move-in ready and fully furnished with designer-inspired furnishings and luxurious, modern finishes. Each apartment comes with private bedroom suites, individual bathrooms, a 50-inch flat-screen TV in each living room, utilities (water, sewage, and trash services), highspeed Wi-Fi and internet, a full-size washer and dryer in each unit, patios and balconies in select units, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood-style floors, secure electronic access, and more!
